Okay, so, things I did that weren't leaving my job:

# I watched a longplay of RE2, because I was apparently in the mood for it. I watched a Claire A/Leon B, and was frustrated that, while there are playlists of Leon A/Claire B, there doesn't seem to be a hecking chonky video like there is for the other route :(

Before you ask, no, I will not be watching the remake. Ever. I prefer my zombies low-res, thanks.

# I also watched a longplay of RE3 yesterday (also not the remake), although I'm not sure of how much of it I took in, thanks to mush brain.

# I tried watching a longplay of the Darkside Chronicles and had to give up because a) it was first person, so I felt a bit motion sick, and b) I dunno, it just wasn't really working for me. I couldn't even get to the Police Station to see if they'd redone the music and if they'd ruined the Front Hall (which is my fave off the soundtrack).

# I watched my new favourite streamer play Bugsnax! I didn't watch Ellen when she played it for Oxtra, because I didn't think I'd like it (I have issues with food, so I thought it might be a vague problem). But I started watching, on the proviso I could switch it off if I wanted, and I actually kind of enjoyed it!

# I watched this video by Cat Graffam, about why she quit using Instagram. Usually I don't watch these sorts of videos, unless it's an artist I care about (I've heard of her, but never seen her work before now), but this one was really informative about the ways Instagram works against artists/creative people.

# I found the perfect screen from Oblivion to describe me (image linked says "You don't have enough coffee").

# I also went a wee bit overboard making banners for my membership tiers on ko-fi.
Nothing is live yet*, but it is a thing I am working on! In case you are interested!

*basic memberships from £1 a month are, but you don't (currently) get anything for it, except a warm glow (not guaranteed).

# and that's pretty much everything for the time being!

I went to the dentist yesterday. I hate going at the best of times, but this just felt straight up weird, and the entire time I was there, I kept apologising in my head for breathing on him.

And then I went food shopping and a) bought too much and b) as a consequence, spent too much. Although it's two weeks (exactly!) since I did a Big Shop, so I shouldn't feel too guilty, but I do, wheeeee! I also regretted it, as I didn't take my trolley with me (because dentist), so I had to carry everything and now I have very sore shoulders, as well as a bruise on my left shoulder. I could've got a taxi, I guess, but I already had a day bus ticket, and a taxi home would've cost as much as the bus ticket did. So I am sore instead. I spent a lot of yesterday once I got home not doing a lot because it was too much effort.

The reason I went a bit loopy with food shopping is because I think I have a wheat or gluten intolerance (I'm not going to say it's coeliac, because I don't think it is). I've thought for several years now that things with flour in make me bloated and, the other night, I realised that it may also be contributing to my migraines. Which started getting worse around a year ago. When we went into first lockdown, and I started baking more, didn't I. So yesterday, I was buying what gluten-free stuff I could find to try out (the answer is woefully little. Especially since there aren't gluten-free alternatives to a lot of things I like). Also gluten-free stuff is expensive! Which I kind of knew anyway, but now I have bought some, I know for definite.

So I'm going to try to eat less gluten-y stuff and see how it goes.

In other news, my pens came on Monday, as did a lamp I'd ordered from Ikea. All three things are great, however I will not be ordering from Ikea again ever. I booked my order to be delivered on Sunday, and they didn't even process it till that day! I mean, it at least did get delivered on Monday, but that wasn't the day I asked for, nor that I was offered! It is a good lamp - it's very energy efficient for starters - and it didn't cost much (because Ikea), but that whole palaver with the delivery has put me right off.

Anyway, my pens are amazing, and they both write really nicely, and feel nice to use. I don't think either nib is a fine point, as claimed, but I don't think that matters, really? I'm not that fussed. As long as they work, which they do, then I'm happy. Also they both came with converters, which I'm pleased about (basically I can put any colour or type of ink in*/it's better for the environment because I'm then not throwing small bits of plastic away).

Other than that, I rewatched Zoe and Aoife playing Dark Souls II. Because I suck at Dark Souls and wanted some tips (I did not get them, because they're doing a Let's Play, not a walkthrough).

And then I went back and am currently rewatching Aoife and Johnny playing Dark Souls III, which I could swear I remember nothing about, but I've kept going, "OH I REMEMBER THIS!" quite a lot. So evidently I remember more than I thought I did.

I've come to the conclusion that DS3 is the lovechild of Bloodborne and Demon's Souls. It feels very Bloodborne like, and the enemies remind me of the enemies in that, but also like, the Firelink Shrine is very like the Nexus in Demon's Souls. And there's a reference to Yuria, who's a character in that (which means absolutely nothing, really, it's just From referencing their older work). But you know me, I'll look for connections where there are none!

Also Resident Evil is TWENTY FIVE YEARS OLD THIS YEAR HOLY HECKINS. I wish I could pretend I wasn't aware of that, but I actually am. It's 23 years since I first played through RE2 with my BFF.

Talking of game anniversaries, FFXII was FIFTEEN not so long ago! It only feels like two minutes since I was saying I should've done something for the tenth anniversary and now...blimey. I was unprepared for that one.

And on that note, I think I'm done now!

~

*Except India ink. Don't ever put that in your fountain pen, because you will heck it up. Possibly for good.

Forgot to mention the other day that I am getting a free microwave!

My brother and sister in law are having their kitchen redone, and are getting a new microwave to match, so they asked me if I wanted their old one. To which I obviously said yes, because who doesn't like free stuff? ;)

I've actually wanted/needed a new microwave - the one I had was ailing when mum was still alive (tbf it must be nearly 30 years old at this point, and we didn't get it new). So I've not had one for the last two years. But a new one will make reheating things easier, mean I can buy stuff to nuke when I can't be arsed to cook after work, and I can finally make mug cakes! (A whole cake is nice, but sometimes you just want something small, yanno?)

Talking of cake, I made parkin last week and, even though I put in three times the amount of ginger recommended (3 tsp vs 1), I still think it could have been more gingery.

~

I am now watching Aoife and Johnny play Dark Souls. I really don't know why this time. I mean, even if I did give it a go myself, I think the Capra Demon would be where I'd give up for good (that looks like the worst combination of frustrating things in a boss fight). You know, if I hadn't got sick of falling off things all the time because that's totally a thing that happens.

But talking of Eurogamer, Aoife and Johnny did a Late to the Party on Abe's Oddysee which, omfg, this game I love it. (I often feel like me and my bff were the only ones who played it, but obviously I know that's not true. Also watching this made me extremely aware of how bad I would be at playing it, because platformer).

They also did the Resident Evil remake from 2002, in which I learnt Jill has jiggle physics, and was summarily disgusted. (I mean to link this one the other day and forgot, because I am a numptie).

So for a while now, I have needed to buy a new landline because the display on the old one is...not great now. I can't remember how long I've had this one, maybe five years or so? (It's a really old model, and I got it for mum from a discount store, so it were probably discontinued when we had it new anyway).

I know I could use it as phone without a display - it still functions like it's meant to - but I've got used to having caller display. I also have two corded handsets (this one is cordless), but again, they don't have displays, so I'd feel like I was going backwards technologically.

Anyway, long story short, I wiffled for a while about buying a new one, as obviously it costs money, and I am not rich. But I've bought one this morning, that is just a single handset - the old one is a pair, but I really don't need two handsets as I'm rarely upstairs anyway. I got it from Argos, and it was £20, and that's not too bad! (I did look in the same discount store a while back, but they seem to have stopped selling phones). And then I thought I'd look to see what cheap 3DS games they were selling, just for giggles, and now I have a copy of Yo-Kai Watch coming as well??? In my defence, it was only £1.50, I've thought about buying it before, and my nephew might like it even if I don't?

(I was going to buy one of the sequels as well for £3.50, but they were out of stock. Which in a way is good, because what if I didn't like the first one?? And I could have had one of the Monster Hunter 3DS games for cheap, except that was also out of stock, which again, probably a good thing, since I think Monster Hunter is like Dark Souls in that I would not enjoy it one bit).

And then, the best part is, it's all getting delivered this afternoon! Which is nice.

~

I've been watching Aoife and Johnny from Eurogamer play Bloodborne because reasons I am not entirely sure of. I don't even like Bloodborne! Aoife/the comments mentioned some of the lore, and I still have no idea W T F is going on!

Anyway, I also watched some of their Late to the Party videos (in which one of them plays a game they don't know), and I thought you also might be interested in some of them?

Aoife and Ian play Resident Evil 2 (original)

Ian and Johnny play Silent Hill

Aoife and Ian play Bloodborne

Aoife and Johnny play Final Fantasy VII

Aoife and Johnny play Final Fantasy X

I don't know what else to say, though no doubt I will remember stuff once I've switched the computer off, and I need to make some dinner, so I'm going to go and do that.

1. I had a Resident Evil dream last night. It was so scary, it woke me up. I haven't even looked at anything to do with the remake in days, so I don't know what inspired that (unless I am, as I suspected, slightly ill again). The zombies moved like Heartless, and that was freakin' awful, let me tell you.

I also dreamt about mum, and that was sort of weird. Not horrible weird, but also unexpected.

2. WRT the dentist! I went on Tuesday - I called Monday, and was really surprised I was able to get a next day appointment. Anyway, he had a look at the tooth (and the one above it), and said there's pretty much nothing he can do about it, unless it becomes infected, or carries on giving me grief. He said there's no signs of infection right now, so just to carry on as normal and hope for the best.

I'm annoyed in some ways, but in others I'm relived. I honestly thought the worst, and was fully prepared for him saying he'd have to take it out, and I'd have to pay god only knows how much for the treatment.

On the other hand, in all the poking around he did to check everything was okay, he reaggravated the nerve, so that was fun!

3. I bought a pull along shopping bag, which is getting delivered later, so I can use it when I do my next food shopping haul (likely Saturday; I don't really like going after work Fridays, and I don't want to take it to work with me).

I've actually been wanting one for years, but I'm really fussy about patterns and stuff (and conscious of looking like an Old Person, since it's usually pensioners you see with them. That said, I do know people around my age/younger who use them, so really I shouldn't care. And I'm going to try not to. Because I'd rather not yank my arm out of its socket, thanks). Anyway, this one is flat black all over, and insulated, which is good, because I buy a lot of frozen veggies.

4. I am up to Birth by Sleep in the Kingdom Hearts canon!

5. I did put a thing here about writing, but it's basically a circular argument I've been having with myself for months, including that I don't know what would be a self-indulgent story for me.

(I've been thinking about it off and on for what feels like years at this point and I really don't know. I guess something with time travel and angst and alternate universe and maybe space travel? I really, really don't know).
Resident Evil 2 is FINALLY getting a remake????

(using my Silent Hill icon because I can't currently get at my RE one...*sigh*)

I...appreciate it, and think it's overdue, but I'm not sure I want it. I love the original, and I've loved it for twenty(!!) years now. I will probably still check it out once it arrives, because Resident Evil.

(I want there to be the alternate scenarios like there were in the original because hello guess where my love of Rashomon style storytelling came from*. And I'd like Claire's original VA. I'm sure Ali Hillis does a good job, but Alyson Court just is Claire for me. Which, I realise, makes me sound like a whiny five year old, but I'm very tired and feel like stamping my feet, so I guess I am a whiny five year old).

Talking of which, I was in CEX today, and considered picking up 5, 6, and Operation Raccoon City, even though I won't play them at all because I'm a massive scaredy cat (why I like this series at all is BEYOND me). Maybe next time I'm in there. I want them just to have them, if that makes sense?

(which reminds me: I still need to pick up the films I'm missing, and that includes Damnation).

*Though I suppose the alternate A/B scenarios aren't Rashomon style in the strictest sense, but I do like the differences that occur depending on which way you play the game.

~

In other games news, I've been keeping up with E3 even less than usual but new Halo game??? That is not Halo 6, but will apparently continue Master Chief's Adventures IN SPACE!™ (I get the feeling 343 are trying to eke out the story as much as possible at this point, as 6 should, rightfully, be the finisher, but who honestly knows).

ALSO KH3 FINALLY! (not that I have a PS4 to play it on, but whatever, right? People have been wanting this since I got into the games a good decade ago. I am happy for them).

~

In non-game news, I went to the dentist on Monday, and he was actually nice to me this time! Well, nice for a dentist, anyway. I didn't exactly mention the sore teeth, as they'd calmed down, but he had a look, and said it was probably a nerve or gum flare-up, which sounds likely. I was dreading him saying I'd have to have a tooth out (or worse). Thankfully, that didn't happen.

I've also started working on paying off the Other Debt, and it is less than I thought, so hopefully it will take me less time to pay off! \o/
I literally just finished up watching a Resident Evil 1 longplay. Which was confusing re: the music, as it was the Director's Cut Dual Shock version the LPer was playing, and the music is different to the original game. I. Did not like the alternate soundtrack.

Most of the time I didn't know where either character was, because the layout of the mansion is so fucking confusing (I know it's technically "on purpose", but oh goddddddd *drags hands down face*).

It also became clear to me that me and my BFF at the time were THIS CLOSE to actually beating the entire game, omg. Shame that never happened.
(Talking of whom, I ran into her yesterday, completely randomly! We only got to chat for a minutes (I had a bus to catch) but it was kind of weird, given I've been thinking/talking about her recently).

Anyway, I enjoyed watching it, even if the music was...not good.

~

In other, very boring news, I've been doing a lot of chores in the house. But it's all stuff that needs doing, so I'm glad I got it done.

I also thought of a story idea, but it's not a happy one (though it is another sci-fi one so yay?) I want to write happy stories, but my brain says NO. (Take the sci-fi story for example - that was supposed to be happy, after a fashion, but it quickly descended into horrible stuff). I think it's a reflection of the state of my mind, but gdi why can't there be happy fluff?? Why can't I think of happy fluff? It's not fair! *stamps feet*

Woke up from a dream this morning that seemed to be Critical Role and Resident Evil intertwined (not really surprised, given Matt Mercer is Leon's current voice, and that I've been thinking about both things all week*). The zombies were a constant threat, though never visible (which obvs made things nine hundred percent worse). The CR parts of the dream were nicer, though. (Although sometimes I wish I would stop dreaming about it, because I don't count it as a thing I'm particularly fannish about. Even though I possibly am more so than I think? IDK). I kept almost falling asleep in the dream, which is a thing I've dreamt about before, and can only think it happens when I'm super tired in actual life.

Anyway. That was a thing.

~

In other news, I finished watching aaaaaall the way through RE2! I'm glad I decided to watch the Leon A/Claire B longplay too.

I'm fairly certain now that me and my BFF at the time played all four scenarios, but never managed to beat the final boss on either Leon or Claire B (so we didn't beat the game as such, which I never thought we did anyway). I can't ask her if we did anyway, because I don't see her often any more, and I doubt she remembers now as it is.

So I guess next up is RE1 (the original, not the remake), and then Nemesis because that's the order I experienced them in. Then I'll probably do chronological(ish) order from there on in. Maybe. Depending on my mood and how stable my internet is (it drops out all the time, even when I'm practically on top of the router, and is one of the reasons I'm behind on Critical Role. I suspect we need a new router but uuuughhh how do I know what is a good one to get???? I am not good with technology!)

~

*I keep considering dunking the old campaign and just starting afresh with the new one, which I am now two weeks behind on! However, while I know most spoilers for the old one, I'd like to see the rest of it. I guess I will just be forever behind!

For some reason, I decided it would be pertinent to spend most of the weekend watching a Resident Evil 2 longplay. As you do.

The first one I found was Claire A/Leon B, which is the canon order (as of Darkside Chronicles), but which feels backwards to me because when I played through it with my BFF, we did Leon A/Claire B (and didn't finish the whole game for whatever reason), and that's what feels "right" to me. So now I am watching a different one that's doing it that way. That makes it a lot more clearer to me now that there are not as many changes between the versions as I thought, but enough that it obviously became a thing that I like in fiction.

(I was pleased to learn (or relearn, since I probably knew at some point) that the canon version of events in RE1 is Jill's, because that's the one me and my BFF did. Although, again, we didn't finish it because of whatever reasons. I mean, we did get as far as the final boss, but we never beat him).

(We totally nailed RE3, though :D )

So that's what I'm doing now. Of course, I also thought about streaming the other games, since I'm really not going to play them myself, but omfg there are so many now! Although I'm not really getting the chance to play anything besides Animal Crossing on my phone/2DS, sooooo...it will give me something else as an option to have on when I'm doing Stuff™

~

In other news, I requested All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater from the library, and started reading it today. I am not very far in (page 8!), but I don't know if I will finish it. I think I'm a bit jaded by stuff I'd read a while back about it (I have read some good stuff, but obvs the bad stuff is what sticks in your brain).

I suppose we will just have to see!

Since mentioning Wesker in my post last night, I actually started thinking about his story as it unfolds through Resident Evils 1 -5 and...really it's fucking ridiculous and so is he.

(I know it's down to Capcom retconning here, there, and everywhere, but it doesn't make it any less ridiculous when you put it all together).

Aug. 6th, 2014 10:54 pm
muladhara: (resident evil)
OK so the other day I bought the two Resident Evil films I am missing on DVD (yes I know I dislike the film franchise intensely but MILLA JOVOVICH also CHEAP FILMS. Also I haven't seen them, so I can't diss them accurately if I don't, right?

Then because the universe seemed to be throwing RE stuff at me, I ended up buying the Bradygames guide for RE6, even though I don't own it and never will. But it was £1.99 and man, I loves me some RE (also I suppose I want to know WTF is up after having seen the second animated film whose title escapes me*. There might be some bit of plot or something in there, right?)

I also bought a couple of games! For a grand total of a fiver! I got The Last Remnant (which I believe [personal profile] lassarina has played? Is it any good?) and Fable III (I am fed up of wavering over whether I should or not, so I just did).

I did start playing The Last Remnant, but I'm only about an hour in, and not so fond of it yet. Although I do like the way Rush talks to the abominably young requisite regent in this game (he's NINETEEN!) That makes me laugh. I'm not sure I get how battles work yet, but that's not a problem at the moment, although I can't read ANY text on my TV screen**, apart from the massive stuff and the subtitles. Battle commands are mostly guesswork, heh (so don't be surprised when I die horribly. Oh wait. That's normal gaming experience for me).

(Also I have gripes about the walk cycles but I am Picky McPickerson when it comes to animation).

I did actually intend to pick up a copy of Persona 4: Arena (or whatever; I'm so used to calling it P4A*** that I can't remember its proper title), but I did not see one. I was also a bit sad because Lightning Returns is a little outside of my budget right now :( (though, as I pointed out on twitter, I still haven't beaten XIII-2 yet, so there's little point in me having the sequel RIGHT NOW. Also I'm led to believe the method of playing will give me panic attacks because it's all got to be timed and so on so ultimately IDEK).

Oh and I am SO buying Dragon's Dogma next time I see it. I nearly got it the other day, but decided against it as I didn't know what it was about, and I only wanted it because I'd heard the soundtrack. But I read up about it, and actually it sounds cool, so yay! (Also pluses in its favour: huge variety of character customisation; a billion and one sidequests. Minuses: jiggle physics which probably only apply to the one gender amirite).

~*~

*That wasn't there to buy, but I don't know that I would have. I didn't enjoy it very much.

**I mostly game in my room, and I have a twelve year old CRT TV up there.

***Oh wait, or is that what we call the first anime? GODDAMNIT I DON'T EVEN KNOW ANY MORE.
THIS ICONNNNNNNNN. I've missed this icon.

(Uh, hi new people, I have a crush on Wesker. Although unlike nine tenths(?) of the internet who also have a crush on him, the first thing I will do is tell you that he is a HUGE DICK and I will make no attempt to excuse his villainous behaviour because WHAT. What is that even about. I honestly DO NOT understand it, and I don't think I ever will).

(Also what you may or may not know about me is that the Resident Evil games are my comfort blanket. Yeah. Leon was one of my first video game crushes ♥ ).

Uh, also this part of the post has no point, really.

~*~

Playing FFIX. On the second disc already! (I thoroughly surprised myself).

It's weird playing it, really, because most of it I don't remember, but then there's certain locations or scenes that I do remember, but I could be sure that they happened later on? Mind you, 2009 (when I played it the first time) was a prime year for holes in my memory (and also a supremely shitty year for various reasons), so I'm not surprised my memories of it are wonked.

Also GAH SHIPPING FREYA AND FRATLEY SO HARD. Want to do a fanart (got an idea) but a) need references and b) be able to draw both of them competently what with them both being rats (humans I can do, anthro rats not so much). I've already drawn a Hippaul (no, really), so it can't be that hard, right????

~*~

I should do some more writing. I haven't touched my story for at least a month (even back before I asked for boss fight tracks) and I only have six months left IF I'm going to stick to this deadline like I said I would.

(I think about it a lot. Mainly because I'm so pleased with myself for pulling an idea out and constructing something I'm happy with, and characters I'm happy with (even if one is an ass and the other is a douchebag and makes me mad when I write him). I'd like to do some art for it, maybe. But first I'll concentrate on getting the damn thing written).

(Although I guess that means I'll have to read some of it back, in spite of having the basic idea in my head. It is FAWFUL at the moment. I'm saving rewrites for typing up, which obviously hasn't happened yet, as I haven't got the entire story out yet).

I have had Blumenkranz stuck in my head for about a week now.

YAY. By which I mean NOT YAY.

I like this song, but I don't like it THAT much.

~*~

We got one of those doohickeys that converts your tapes to mp3s. It's basically a walkman with a USB output.

Anyway, last night I promised mum that I'd check it works, because we didn't want to have paid all that money for nothing. I downloaded Audacity onto mum's computer, as that's the software that came with it, but I thought the internet would have the most recent version. I haven't checked the disc that came with the thing, but I bet I'm right.

ANYWAY. I plugged the tape player in. Windows recognised it, and so did Audacity. So far, so good. I put a tape in, and put it to play. Turned out it was at the end of a side, so I turned it over (you can actually reverse the direction of play, but that confuses me at the best of times). Pressed play. Pressed record on the computer. Nowt but silence and maybe the odd hissing noise. Switched it off, tried again, and again. Checked all my connections. Tried again. Still nothing.

Tried turning the volume control in the opposite direction. Pressed record on the computer again. Suddenly I heard music.

Turns out the volume was down, and that's why it wasn't recording anything.

What a flaming idiot I am, eh?

Stupidness aside, I am really excited about this. I've got a whole bunch of stuff on tapes that I don't have on CDs so I can expand my music collection! :DDDD Also I've got some embarrassing tapes from when I was a teenager, and I can make computer backups of them (the one thing on there I *might* upload if I can clean it up nicely, but I make no promises) - they're only embarrassing because I was a teenager and I said a WHOLE LOAD of stupid stuff (because I was a teenager), but I want to keep them because they are essentially an audio Let's Play of Resident Evil 2 (Leon A/Claire B, I think). Every time I listen to them (because memories!) I think the tapes might break (they're FIFTEEN years old. I'm amazed they've lasted THIS long).

(They also remind me that, while I ship Claire/Leon like burning (or, I used to), I'd also picked up on the point that the games wanted us to believe that Leon and Ada had instantly fallen for each other. I've since chosen to ignore that because I don't believe it, but that's just the way I roll. I also used to like Ada once. Not so much any more).

(ALSO DID I JUST UPLOAD A WHOLE BUNCH OF RE ICONS FOR THE ~SIX-ISH WEEKS I HAVE LEFT OF PAID TIME? YES, YES I DID).

~*~

In other news, I am knitting a cushion cover (I bought myself a coverless cushion especially!) for the first time. It has a star on it! It is the second time I have ever done intarsia, and honestly I don't know why I was so worried about it.

Some things:

1. I watched Resident Evil: Damnation, and honestly I don't know why I bothered. I mean, yay Leon being all snarky, and Leon, and so on ♥ (he was one of my first video game crushes and...look, it's been going on for fourteen years now *ahem*).

The CGI were/was (????) awesome - I really love how far computer animation has come, even in the last ten years - but honestly I didn't really like it. It felt, by the end of the game, like an extended trailer for RE6, although you wouldn't guess that if you don't know that it's supposed to be set between RE5 and 6. Also there was a trailer for 6 playing over the credits and what the fuck was that all about?

(Also I didn't have an RE tag??? WTF??? THESE GAMES ARE MY LIFE!)

In short, nah bro.

2. Since we're talking films, the last one I saw before this was Hans Christian Andersen, which is a musical where Danny Kaye plays the titular character and...it's not exactly true to Andersen's really story, but it's not so removed from reality as I understand it. Anyway, it's fun, and I enjoyed it, although a warning: you probably will be ear-wormed with every single song for days afterwards.

3. I reeeeeeeeeally want to make origami (someone who followed me on tumblr does origami, and it started me off on wanting to do some again). The only problem I have with it is that I never know what to do with it once I've made it.

I made so much as a teenager, but threw a lot of it away because of the above reasons (I think we've got three surviving things which are two huge flies (don't ask), and a maple leaf). I've got some instructions for making some paper boxes upstairs, and I'm going to have a crack at them, but I don't know where to go from there. We will see, I guess.

(Hmm, I better dig out that Steve and Megumi Biddle book, I guess!)
