I am well enough again to be sociable! \o/ To which end, I will be going to visit my brother and sister in law at the weekend, which is delightful! My sister in law said perhaps if the weather's nice*, we could have a mini barbecue in the garden (they don't have a grill, so we'd get a disposable one). And I said that would be neat, and is officially the first time I've ever looked forward to a barbecue, EVER.

In other news, I watched a let's play of Dream Diary, which is the 3D version of Yume Nikki and...it's okay? I guess? I don't hate it, but I also don't think it has the charm of the original, and I am not a fan of the platforming/puzzle elements in it. But there's nice nods to the original game, and it is cool to see some stuff rendered in 3D.
I am also continuing with PSX FFIV and I just did the Sealed Cave and o m f g I hate that area. I'd forgotten what a pain in the arse it is, and that it has the Demon Wall at the end. Most of my game overs have been in there (apart from the couple of times where I deliberately got one for reasons I now can't remember).
Anyway, I think I'll probably do the Land of Summons next, since I don't remember if you retain access to the underworld after taking the crystal from the Sealed Cave. I mean, I'm p sure Golbez is going to nab it the second I step out of the cave, but other than that ???? In some ways, although I've played this a lot, it's been so long since I played it last, that it's like I never played it at all, because I can't remember a lot of what happens.

Also I don't know if anyone cares, but I never finished reading Solutions and Other Problems, meaning that I have only read one book since November, and I didn't even flipping finish it.
I swear this wouldn't bug me so much if I hadn't been such a voracious reader when I was younger.

*debatable, given the weather forecast - it's meant to rain from tomorrow evening onwards.
